Turkish Bath in Istanbul

Turkish Bath in Istanbul

Sambil jalan-jalan di Istanbul nak ke tempat bas menunggu tu, ternampak pulak Hammam, dipanggil sebagai Turkish Bath kira macam tempat sauna lah..
     Wanna join me? heheee..😊

Sebenarnya, aku tak pernah berkesempatan lagi untuk try Turkish Bath ni walaupun dah banyak kali ke Turki kerana sentiasa waktu mencemburui ku...

hmmm...
Teringin jugak nak berangan ala-ala Cleopatra tu..

What is Turkish Bath in Istanbul?

The bathing facilities have been around for centuries, and Istanbul has several operating hammams that date back to the 1500s and 1700s. Hammams are often called “Turkish baths” due to their popularity during the Ottoman Empire. ... Muslim women would use hammams as a place to socialize.

A traditional Turkish Bath package includes 45 minutes of washing; traditional body scrubbing with handwoven wash cloth known as a kese; a foam wash; and a massage. The attendants usually provide visitors with a peshtemal, a thin cotton towel to wrap yourself and a regular towel to use after bathing.

The beneficial properties of a Turkish Bath can also help people suffering from localised aches and pains since better blood circulation carries more oxygen to damaged areas and inevitably brings about an immediate reduction in pain and more rapid healing.
